A pilot was left uninjured after his plane flipped at the Prince George Airport Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the airport shortly before 3:20 p.m. following reports of an incident involving a small plane.
The Prince George RCMP, BC Ambulance Service and the airport fire department were on scene after a light aircraft flipped on one of the airport's side runways.
According to the RCMP, the lone pilot was practicing touch-and-go landings in a small, single-engine plane.
During this procedure, the plane went off the runway and into the snowbank where it nose dived and flipped over.
"The tower called 911, as was protocol," said airport spokesperson Lindsay Cotter.
There were no injuries and the pilot walked away from the plane.
The call for emergency services was cancelled after the pilot was observed walking away from the crash, Cotter added.
"Since it was on a side runway, there were no interruptions to commercial flights," said Cotter.
