More than 400 classic cars are expected to take part in the 37th annual Cruisin' Classics Show 'n Shine on Fathers' Day, and attendees will get to crown their favourite.
The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fort George Park. Classic cars and car owners will be attending the show from across B.C., organizer Dwaine Harvey said.
"We felt we had at least 10,000 people go through last year," said Harvey.
For a $2 donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and the Yukon, attendees will be able to buy a ballot to select the People's Choice Trophy winner. A total of 14 trophies will be presented during the award presentations at 3 p.m.
A pancake breakfast will be held for participants starting a 7:30 a.m. and the show itself starts at 10 a.m.
There will be food vendors and live entertainment, with The Elastic Band playing for three hours.
Those interested in a preview of the cars on display can watch for vehicles taking part in a poker run on Saturday. The poker run starts at The Exploration Place at 3 p.m. and will end at the A&W restaurant in Westgate Mall.
