After being away for 46 years, the Prince George soapbox derby took over Victoria Street today (Aug. 3).
The 2019 derby, hosted by Maychild Media and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George (BBBSPG), was the first since 1973 in B.C.'s northern capital.
The hill proved mighty as there were multiple crashes – some going off the course completely into the grass and forest – but there were also sights of speed and great control.
The race on Victoria Street started at Ford Avenue and ended near McCullagh Avenue.
