Games, treats and family fun!
That was the egg-citing theme of another Prince George COVID-19 safe long weekend event that took residents to 24 different locations in completing a scavenger hunt.
Dubbed the Most EGGcellent Cruise and organized by Dave Horton of 'Pandemic Friendly Entertainment, hundreds of families hopped into their vehicles, most with small children, and participated in a series of games, photo-ops and egg-collecting stations set up by various local businesses, non-profits and organizations.
Community members dressed up for the occasion with lots of bunny ears and full costumes, ducks, foxes and even a moose.
“We (the many who have organized, sponsored and made these events happen) have not been able to help directly combat COVID-19 but we have been able to lift the spirits of our community by creating accessible and safe ideas,” said Horton prior to the Cruise.
“The change of seasons, vaccine roll out and loosening of restrictions is starting but until more change happens we must continue to serve those in greatest need.”
Those who participated are reminded to post their photos and a copy of their Adventure Card (as seen below)to Instagram or Facebook before 10 a.m. on Easter Sunday (April 4) with #pgeggcellentcruise.
Winners of each prize will be drawn from different categories like completed cards, partially completed cards, best photo, random draws and more.
This was the third 'cruise' themed event organized for the community to safely participate during COVID-19, adding to the 'Candy Cruise' on Halloween and the 'Family Day Cruise.'
