Canada has landed on the podium once again on home soil.
Mark Arendz picked up a bronze medal in the Men's Standing Biathlon sprint on Day Four of the 2019 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships in Prince George on Wednesday (Feb. 20).
The 28-year-old came into the day with two medals already in total; a silver and a bronze.
The Canadian had a chance to capture gold in a back-and-forth battle with Frenchman Benjamin Daviet, who would eventually go on to become the world champion.
Arendz finished just behind Gryg Vovchynski (20:59.1) with a time of 21:04.5.
Fellow Canadian Collin Cameron did not compete in the Men Sitting sprint due to illness, while Derek Zaplotinsky just missed the podium for Canada in the same contest.
Natalie Wilkie also did not ski for Canada in the Women Standing sprint.
