"There's tons for kids to do and spend time with their families," said PGX general manager Terri McConnachie.

From rides, including the always popular train complete with two conductors, face painting, a petting farm and food, there is something for everyone. The community stage is rife with "high energy entertainment acts" for the whole family.

PGX highlights for Saturday are the media personalities Firefighter Combat Challenge at 12 p.m. (stop by to see Citizen reporter Serena Black complete the firefighter obstacle course), Reflections in Black- A Tribute to Johnny Cash on the community stage at 5 p.m. and the Bullrider's Ball in Kin 1 at 9 p.m.

Sunny skies and warm temperatures are expected to continue through the weekend. Fairgoers are encouraged to protect themselves from the sun by wearing sunscreen and light clothing, as well as consume adequate amounts of water to avoid dehydration.
