It's never been more important to live it up for the Blue Jays.

With the team on the brink of playoff elimination, but so loaded with explosive talent and comeback experience, the fans across Canada (and there are even some south of the border, too) are locking their interest in on Canada's MLB team.

All over social media is a fan video devoted to this exciting playoff run, and the soundtrack is provided by Toronto band Bellwoods featuring none other than former Prince George musician Morgan Cameron Ross.

"The Blue Jays internally put together a shortlist of 2-3 songs they thought encapsulated the excitement revolving around the Jays," said Ross. "They worked with Rogers and edited 2-3 videos for their post season hype, and then released the vid."

The song at the centre of this viral video is Live It Up, one of Canada's hottest pop tunes of the past year, and an infectious pump-up numbers any sports team would love to lacquer onto a playoff run.

"It came as a surprise for us," said Ross. He and Bellwoods cofounder Alan Snoddy were not informed in advance that the team and the broadcaster were in the lab with their hit song. It gave them one of those rare thrills with the impact of a little kid still struck with world-wonder. "I've been a diehard Blue Jays fan my whole life, so I was pretty excited."

The song's new Blue Jays video (it has a mainstream video of its own that got critics applauding its one continuous circle-shot with constantly changing background and actors) is circulating on several platforms. It's front and centre on the Facebook page for Bellwoods. Ross said it has been seen several hundred thousand times that he can see, but the shares and likes are starting to get beyond calculation, and each new Jays game boosts the numbers.

"Toronto has exploded in Blue Jay love and it feels like all of Canada has too," he said. "I've been to two of the games so far, and plan on going to a few of the World Series games in a week or two."
