Prince George real estate agent David Black has been elected president of the B.C. Northern Real Estate Board for 2015-16.

Black, who works at Royal LePage Prince George, said in a statement that he is "humbled and honoured" to be voted into the position.

"This will also be a critical year for organized real estate in our province and I look forward to representing our members, with skill and determination both in our province and at the national level."

William Lacy, of RE/MAX Quesnel Realty, was elected vice president and Ken Laursen, Royal LePage Prince George, is now past president.

New directors are Roland Cataford of Century 21 Energy Realty; and Court Smith of Sutton Cariboo Realty.
