Quesnel RCMP have arrested a Prince George man alleged to have forcibly confined a woman in a drug-related incident.
Aaron Reuel Evans, 31, also faces charges of, uttering threats, failing to comply with a recognizance and two counts of using an imitation firearm.
He was arrested Saturday, the same day police received a report a woman had been forced into a vehicle, taken against her will and threatened with a gun before she was released. The incident was alleged to have occurred on March 5.
An investigation into the matter remains ongoing and additional charges are anticipated, Quesnel RCMP Cst. Krista Vrolyk said.
Evans is well known to police in both Prince George and Quesnel.
In 2009, Evans was sentenced to two years less a day in jail less time served after RCMP caught him at a traffic stop south of Quesnel in possession of two kilograms of cocaine, a large amount of cash, and a loaded handgun.
