Two Prince George companies were fined by WorkSafe BC, according to the provincial agency's latest publication.
R. F. Klein & Sons Ltd. was fined $7,284.21 for damaging an underground gas line with a back hoe. Creuzot Homes & Construction Ltd. was fined $1,281.33 for failing to give proper notice prior to beginning construction.
Additionally, Byron C. Antonovitch/Interion Roofing of Quesnel received three separate $5,000 fines for violations related to failing to ensure workers used fall protection. Shallard & Sons Trucking of Mackenzie was handed a $7,628.12 penalty for failing to ensure one of its drivers filled out the proper information in required log books.
All of the fines were published in the September/October edition of WorkSafe BC's magazine.
