Paving underway

Highway 97 will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic one kilometre south of Salmon Valley from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today to allow for paving along the section, according to the Ministry of Transportation's DriveBC service.

Highway 97 will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic one kilometre south of Salmon Valley from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. today to allow for paving along the section, according to the Ministry of Transportation's DriveBC service.

Also under construction:

A lane closure will be in effect starting today and continuing through to Saturday on Highway 97 seven kilometres south of Prince George, where line painting will be carried out along the northbound lane from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Single-lane alternating traffic will remain in effect on 25 kilometres south of Prince George on Highway 97 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday, where construction work will continue through to Aug. 31.

Construction on Highway 16 in Prince George, immediately west of the junction with Highway 97, remains ongoing until Sept. 5, from 6:30 am to

3 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

All eastbound lanes and one westbound lane will remain open during construction.

Construction 35 kilometres west of Prince George on

Highway 16 will continue

until Sept. 26, 6:30 a.m. to

6:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic only during paving.

Highway 16 East will be reduced to single lane alternating in one location as crack sealing continues from Yellowhead Bridge to West Twin Bridge (180 kilometres), 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday through to Aug. 22.
