Gangs succeeded not only in muddying a good time at a weekend dance, but also in causing some infighting between police and the event co-ordinator.
Promoter Richard Appiah contends that not only was his charity event (money directed to breast cancer initiatives and the Dillon Adey memorial bursary at CNC) shut down in unwarranted fashion by the Prince George RCMP and the visiting Uniformed Gang Task Force, but now his reputation as an event host has been hurt.
