Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George and the Blackburn Community Association have forged a partnership that will double the number of child care spaces available through the community's program, the organization said Thursday.
If all works out, there will be 76 spaces available by September.
"We believe that the partnership with the Blackburn Community Association will help us start something big for our agency, the Blackburn Community Association and the community," BBBS executive director Tim Bennett said.
Blackburn Community Association president Jamie Kranrod said the partnership will deliver "sustainable child care programming and create exciting new opportunities for children living in the Blackburn community."
A community information night on the initiative will be held Tues., June 14 at the community hall, 6:30 p.m. start.
