Parkinson SuperWalk officially launches Tuesday, Aug. 12

Organizers will offer all the details of the walk set for Saturday, Sept. 6 at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park

Shirley Bond and Gina Beddome, of the Prince George Parkinson's Support Group, inspired the gathered walkers at Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park Pavilion before heading out to walk around the park for last year's Parkinson's SuperWalk. This year the walk will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The official launch of the annual Prince George Parkinson SuperWalk takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park pavilion and everyone is welcome to attend.

This fundraiser for Parkinson Society BC will help continue to grow its programs and services, expand advocacy efforts and invest in innovative research and bring hope to the approximately 17,500 people in BC living with Parkinson's disease.

Speakers during the launch will include Gina Beddome, walk organizer, Serena Sanghera, walk organizer and advocate for a local movement disorders clinic to help those with mobility issues.

The Prince George Parkinson SuperWalk takes place on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park. 

Community members are encouraged to attend the launch on Tuesday and then support the cause by registering for the walk or by donating or volunteering.
