Conference.

Tim Knoop, coach of the Prince George IDL Midget Knights, said it's always nice to hear when players are extending their baseball careers as young men.

"The greatest thing is to hear one of the kids is going to get a scholarship or go and play ball after this," said Knoop.

Other teams in the league include Thompson Rivers University, the University of Calgary, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Vancouver Island University and the Prairie Baseball Academy based out of Lethbridge.

Hannon and Graham have played ball together since they were nine and are excited they'll continue to play as a tandem for at least one, maybe two more years.

Graham mans third base for the Knights and pitches, while Hannon plays first base and steps up on the mound when his team needs him.

Hannon has led the Knights in hitting percentage the last two seasons.

Both 18-year-olds have ambitions to transfer to a baseball program in the United States one day, but know securing an education - Hannon will study writing/publishing in Kelowna while Graham is looking to collect an arts degree - is equally important.

"I want to see how far I can take it and follow the dream as much as I can," said Graham. "If it all works out then great, but if it doesn't, well at least I get an

education out of it."
