Overnight fire in Prince George quickly put out

The fire was quickly extinguished but the damage still amounted to an estimated $40,000.

A burning mobile home in the southwest corner of the city kept Prince George Fire and Rescue staff busy early Wednesday morning.

Crews from three halls responded to a report of a structure fire in the 8400 blk of Bunce Road just after midnight. They arrived to find a mobile home with light smoke coming from the structure.

The fire was quickly extinguished but the damage still amounted to an estimated $40,000.

There were no occupants home at the time of the fire and no reported injuries.

Cause of the fire is unknown and RCMP are investigating.
