Police and search and rescue volunteers were called out to search for a party of hunters after they failed to return home as planned.
Prince George RCMP said the detachment was first alerted shortly before midnight Monday and frontline officers were deployed to the Blackwater Road area where they searched for the group's vehicle for much of the night without success.
Emergency Management BC was subsequently contacted and, in turn, volunteers from Prince George Search and Rescue launched their search at first light Tuesday morning.
The search was called off later the same morning after family members were able to make contact with the group, made up of three adults and two children, via satellite phone.
"The hunters suffered vehicle trouble, but were fine and did not wish further assistance," RCMP said. "The search has been concluded."
