The holidays are a great time for many, but there are some who aren't as fortunate and that's where the Prince George RCMP stepped in.

For six hours this past Sunday (Dec. 9), Prince George Mounties alongside volunteers and detachment staff were at all four Save-On-Foods and were asking for non-perishable food donations to help Pac-A-PC (police car).

Cpl. Craig Douglass with the Prince George RCMP says over 30 police cruisers were filled, surpassing last year's number of 22; $3,100 worth of gift cards and cash were also donated.

On Monday, representatives from the Prince George RCMP delivered all the goodies to the Prince George Council of Seniors.

"The generosity of this community just gets better and better," said event organizer Bev Livingstone in a press release. "We have once again surpassed last year's donations!"
