A fire that erupted in an outbuilding on a Hart-area property Tuesday morning caused an estimated $200,000 damage, Prince George Fire Rescue says.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., 11 firefighters from two halls were called to the 3000 block of Wallace Crescent and found one of the two outbuildings "fully involved," PGFR assistant chief Kevin Woodhouse said in a press release.

The fire was quickly suppressed before it spread to surrounding structures and no one was injured.

Woodhouse reminded homeowners to be sure their portable heating units and electrical equipment remain clear of debris.
