Two public open houses will be held today about the new storm water utility fee.
Between 4 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. and again between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. members of city staff and the consultant team will be available in rooms 204, 205 and 206 at the Civic Centre to provide information on the newest addition to residents' utility bills.
The sessions will feature information on what storm water, drainage and runoff are; the city's storm water management program; challenges funding storm water infrastructure; and the need to consider a user-fee based storm water utility.
The new utility fee which was approved by council last December, is expected to come into effect at the beginning of 2015.
