Ontario Street closed as crews replace watermain

Third Avenue between Queensway and Ontario Street is also affected

City crews lower a pipe into place as work continues on the watermain on Ontario Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenue Thursday. The road will be closed 24 hours a day until Friday, Sept. 27 for the installation of the new watermain. Ontario Street between 4th and 5th avenues will be closed until Sept. 27 for watermain work.

Crews are also working farther along Ontario up to 2nd Ave.

More work is planned for next spring.
