One person suffered burns and was taken to hospital by ambulance, following a house fire in the 1300 block of Alex Drive early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 2 a.m., crews from three fire halls responded to a reported structure fire on Alex Drive, in the Aberdeen area of the Hart.
When crews arrived, they found an extensive fire in the main floor of the home. Fire crews treated one resident for burns, before the person was taken to the University Hospital of Northern B.C. by ambulance.
The damage to the home is estimated at $285,000, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the RCMP.
