One man dead following rollover collision

A 33-year-old Prince George man has died as a result of a rollover collision on Highway 97 south of the city Sunday morning. RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said police responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover collision at 8:15 a.m.

A 33-year-old Prince George man has died as a result of a rollover collision on Highway 97 south of the city Sunday morning.

RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass said police responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover collision at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, just south of Sintich Road.

When emergency services arrived, a pickup truck was located down a steep embankment.

The driver was found deceased and was not wearing a seatbelt. After conducting a search of the area, police believed there were no other occupants in the vehicle.

B.C. Coroners Service was contacted and attended the scene.

The stretch of Highway 97 remained open with slight delays and the investigation continues.
