A two-vehicle collision Saturday evening at the intersection of Upper Fraser Road and Beaver Forest Service Road proved fatal for one of the drivers.
Prince George RCMP responded to the scene at about 6 p.m. Saturday after a Jeep YJ traveling westbound on the Beaver Forest Service Road collided with a Honda Civic carrying two people.
The driver of the Jeep did not survive the collision.
A passenger in that vehicle and two other people in the Honda were taken to hospital in Prince George in serious condition.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.
“Prince George investigators would like to commend the actions of the witnesses who stopped at the scene of the accident and risked personal injury in order to pull the occupants of the Honda Civic to safety, which undoubtedly prevented further injury to the two individuals.”
No other details were released and the investigation continues.
