Police are looking for public assistance to track down those responsible for a Tuesday break and enter and firearm theft.
Prince George RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress at Nechako Outdoors on Vance Road just before 5 a.m. on May 5.
Suspects fled the area before police arrived, but information gathered from the scene indicates multiple suspects stole about 20 firearms before taking off in a white pick up truck.
It's believed the truck was stolen from a Van Bien Avenue home shortly before the break and enter occurred.
A dark coloured Dodge Charger that was also believed to have been involved was located at around 3:30 p.m. on the 1900 block of Strathcona Avenue. Through investigation
Investigation led to the arrest of the 23-year-old driver for the break and enter. Two of the stolen firearms were also located in the black Charger.
Calgary resident Kurtis Fendrick was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a firearm without a licence and knowingly being in possession of a firearm while unauthorized.
Investigators are still looking for the stolen pick up and many of stolen firearms. The truck is described as a white two-door 2004 Chevrolet Silverado with an extended cab with rear suicide doors. There is a 4x4 sticker on the side and has a B.C. licence plate of CJ9691.
According to the RCMP, this is the third break and enter and gun theft at Nechako Outdoors in the last five weeks.
Early on April 1, suspects entered the business and stole three firearms and some knives. On April 12, multiple people broke in and stole 12 firearms, mostly shotguns. Police have not been able to identify suspects in either incident.
