If you love beer and movies, then take notes because a Prince George brewery is playing a classic Canadian film about brews in a brewery.

Come again?

Well, Trench Brewing and Distilling hosts a series called Netflix and Chill’d Beer where they play a film inside the brewery for beer and movie lovers to enjoy, while they munch on free popcorn and sip some alcoholic beverages.

This month’s movie is Strange Brew, the Bob and Doug McKenzie classic.

Here’s how the plot goes: Bob and Doug Mckenzie help the brewery founder's daughter Pam regain the brewery founded by her recently-deceased father. But to do so, they must confront the suspicious brewmaster and two teams of vicious hockey players.

This movie also has an extra special Prince George connection as it was actually filmed in Prince George in 1982 at the Old Fort Brewery which is now known as Pacific Western Brewing.

The movie will be shown Wednesday, April 17 starting at 7:00 p.m. at Trench Brewing and Distilling located at 399 Second Ave.
