The Black Lives Matter movement is holding strong in Prince George as a third rally is in the works for Friday.

After hundreds and hundreds of people in the northern capital attended two back-to-back rallys last week on June 5 and 6, Friday’s for Future Prince George, who hosted the first protest at city hall, has announced plans for a third demonstration.

The Black Lives Matter movement has seen demonstrations against systemic racism happen all over the world after the death of 46-year-old George Floyd after being held down by a police officer’s knee at his neck on May 25.

The third Black Lives Matter protest to take place in Prince George will happen Friday June 19 at 2 p.m. at City Hall. Organizers say they will have demands for the city and may also march through downtown depending on the amount of people who attend.

The event will be a peaceful protest and those who attend are asked to bring their own signs, masks, and hand sanitizers but some supplies will be provided for those without.
