There’s no fresher way to kick off a new year or a new decade than a New Year’s Day dip in an ice-cold lake.

Cue Ness Lake Bible Camp and its annual polar bear dip!

The entry fee is $25 but anyone who raises more than $25 in pledges will have the entry fee waived and there is also a prize for the top pledge raiser.

You can also wear a costume as you take the plunge! While costumes aren’t required, there is a prize for the best costume, so get creative!

Spectators are encouraged and welcome, plus there will be hot chocolate and cinnamon buns for all.

Ness Lake Bible Camp is about 40 minutes west of downtown Prince George, at 23705 Camp Rd. The event takes place from 2 to 4 p.m.
