The annual Over the Line Snowball tournament is gearing up for another year.

The event, hosted by the All Weather Fools Athletic Club, is essentially softball in the snow without running bases.

The weekend-long tournament sees three divisions (men's, women's and mixed) compete in teams of four.

Over the Line takes place at Dillmons Farm, located west of Prince George.

The weekend kicks off with a hospitality night before games are played all day Saturday and Sunday, with the winners championed on Sunday night.

Registration for the 2019 tournament takes place Jan. 26 and 27 from noon until 6 p.m. at the Westwood Pub on 233 Cherry Ave.

Proceeds from the tournament are donated to Friends of Children, which assists families from northern B.C. and East Kootenay who need to travel to access medical treatments for their children.
