There might be a lot of ways to get your Christmas lights fix in Prince George, but one that can’t be missed is the Celebration of Lights at the Central B.C. Railway and Forestry Museum.

Where else can you ride a mini-train and simultaneously take in the glow of over 100,000 lights? The Celebration of Lights is a family-friendly event with Christmas lights and displays set up around the museum and park.

The Cottonwood Minitrain will transport you through the magical display or you can take a walk around the park and into many of the decorated rail cars.

The museum will have bonfires blazing to warm everyone up, a concession serving hot dogs, s’mores, hot chocolate, popcorn and much more. You can also head inside to the decorated gallery and enjoy one of the many local choirs and musicians who will be performing to spread some good old-fashioned holiday cheer!

The Celebration of Lights will be held from Dec. 18 to 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. If you come out to the inaugural event on Dec. 18, admission is free if you bring a non-perishable food donation.
