The annual civic light up is the perfect way to jump-start the holiday season.

Head down to the Canada Games Plaza, right in front of the Civic Centre, to see the main event …. the lighting of the Canadian Tire Tree of Lights!

But wait. There’s more holiday fun to be had. The event also features live entertainment, music, dancing, activities, holiday treats, crafts, face painting, and hay rides sponsored by Wood Wheaten.

You might even be able to meet Santa. (Actually, you will be able to meet Santa because he’s going to be there!)

If that doesn't’t sound like enough fun for you, there’s also going to be a stellar fireworks display.

It’s the perfect event to squash your inner Grinch so you can start feeling merry and bright! The whole thing takes place on Sunday, Nov. 25 (exactly a month before Christmas Day) from 4 until 6 p.m.

On Our Radar is just a thing we do when we're looking forward to an event or think the public should be aware of it. Think you have something for it? Email us at [email protected].
