Every year we say goodbye to legendary musicians who didn’t make it through to see another year.

To honour these artists, a local Prince George label, Good Egg Records, is hosting Songs Carry On: A Tribute to Musicians Lost in 2018.

The show will feature performances by Good Egg Records artists Naomi Kavka, Britt AM, The Brain Porter, Danny Bell, Sean Wesley Wood, Dan Johnson and Nathan Kelly.

You can expect to hear tributes to Aretha Franklin, The Buzzcocks (who lost lead singer Pete Shelley), Roy Clarke, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds (who lost pianist Conway Savage), and The Cranberries (who lost singer Dolores O’Riordan), among others.

The tribute will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion at 1116 Sixth Ave. on Jan. 12, starting at 9 p.m.
