PG Queer Café (PGQC) is celebrating pride in a unique way next month as COVID-19 health regulations have changed the way events are celebrated this summer.
The group is organizing a pride car parade and picnic event, which will see people sitting on their lawns celebrating pride with a picnic and waiting for the pride car parade to drive by.
The event will take place Saturday, July, 4 from 12 to 4 p.m.
PG Queer Café, however, is encouraging people to stay in their bubbles and just celebrate on your lawn with people you already live with to comply with health regulations.
Organizers say they will have a separate car parade for each part of town and will be posting an anonymous survey for you to send in your street name.
Similar to the birthday car parades, drivers will stay in their vehicles to comply with physical-distancing rules.
But wait! There’s more.
There will also be a 'PGQC Pride Jam for Youth' going on during the parade where local artists will perform an online concert which will be live-streamed on both Facebook and Instagram.
Organizers say they will be highlighting the artists and will reveal details of how to listen closer to the event.

Organizers are hoping for six to 10 vehicles for each parade.
