It can be stressful to be a new parent.

The Prince George Public Library (PGPL), Northern Medical Program (NMP) and University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) are trying to help new parents breathe a little easier.

The organizations have teamed up to help navigate the world of online health information.

As a new parent, or soon to be new parent, it can be frustrating to find accurate health information online.

With this in mind, the PGPL, NMP and UNBC will present Exploring Health Information for New Parents at the Bob Harkins Branch, with sessions on March 11 and April 7.

The one-hour hands-on workshops will teach parents how to find, evaluate and apply the information found online.

Families can register online and all sessions are the same so families should only register for one.

The upcoming sessions take place Wednesday, March 11, from 2 to 3 p.m. or Tuesday, April 7 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.

Sessions will be hosted at the Library’s Bob Harkins Branch, downtown.

Children are welcome to come and activities for them will be provided.
