As with many events this year, changes are being made due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and this year's Prince George Downtown Summerfest is no different.
For 2020, Downtown Prince George has changed the name to include 'Take It Home' but don't worry, there are still the same things you've come to know and love from the event scheduled for July 12.
TASTE OF SUMMERFEST
We all love the taste pavilion but don't fret, while this year will be a different format, you can still be a foodie!
This year, there will be special meals available from downtown restaurants.
Go to DowntownPG.com/Summerfest and you can place an order (single or family meals) for brunch, lunch or dinner. All orders must be completed by Friday, July 10 at noon.
Once you pick up your order you will be entered to win one the $100 Restaurant Gift Cards offered by each of the participating restaurants.
You'll be able to place your order starting Monday (June 29).
FAMILY PARTY PACK
Downtown Prince George has created a special free Party Pack for you to have at home.
All you have to do is visit DowntownPG.com/Summerfest where you can order yours.
Sponsors and supporters have come together to create the packs containing toys, a special Prince George colouring book, swag, activities and your agenda for the Downtown Virtual Summerfest.
Party packs must be ordered before Wednesday, July 8 at 5 p.m.
Downtown Prince George says everyone that picks up a party pack will be entered to win a fabulous prize package.
VIRTUAL FUN
Starting at 11 a.m., you can tune into the Summerfest website to listen to local musicians, learn a craft, do a science experiment, try some yoga, make a drink, take a cooking lesson or make a kite!
