Anyone who wants to explore one of Prince George’s fantastic trails, have a free lunch and learn a little bit more about forests will have the opportunity to jump on a bus and spend the day at Willow River — all for free.
The Cariboo section of the Canadian Institute of Forestry is sponsoring at free forestry walking tour and barbecue at the Willow River Interpretative Trail, located half-an-hour northeast of Prince George on Highway 16.
Organizers are even providing free transportation. A bus will be available to take people out to the event.
It's all happening Saturday, Sept. 29 and is an all-ages and family-friendly gathering.
The departure time and place for the free bus ride hasn’t been announced yet but anyone interested in attending must RSVP first. As it’s a guided tour, participants are asked to RSVP by emailing organizer Anna Monetta ([email protected]). You'll have to email before Sept. 25 to reserve a spot.
