An interactive hybrid dance-music-art show called Digital Folk is coming to Prince George.

Digital Folk describes itself as part rumpus room, part basement party and part video-game and costume party.

As interactive video games like Just Dance! and Rock Band have changed how we gather to sing, dance and tell stories, Digital Folk explores this tech-induced phenomenon of playing alone, together, notes a press release.

The cast will transform the space into a colourful and energetic environment that is part rumpus room from the '80s, part visual art installation and part secret chamber from Zelda.

The show is created, in part, by Prince George native Natalie Lefebvre Gnam. It's her first performance in her hometown as a professional dancer and PG is Digital Folk's first stop on the Hard Core Logo Tour.

The show will be in Prince George for one night only: Tuesday, Oct. 30. It's being presented by the Omineca Arts Centre and Excalibur Theatre Arts and will take place at Omnica’s new location at 369 Victoria St.

Digital Folk will have three Looping performances at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Space is limited.

You can book your tickets now and plan to stay for one, two or three rounds. All ages are welcome.
