Coquitlam's summer concert series is returning to the TD Community Plaza stage for the first time since 2019.

It's another sign that summer is almost over.

Coquitlam is set to host its third and final summer concert series on Friday (Sept. 2), which will end its two-year return to Town Centre Park.

And the show will close out the season on a positive note to which you can tap your foot and move your body to the sounds of pop, R&B and rhythm.

The theme was one of three selected for the 2022 series — rock, jazz and pop — which was slated together in the hopes of offering something for everyone to enjoy.

The free concert is set to take the TD Community Plaza stage rain or shine Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m.

The acts and refreshments are as follows:

Musicians

  • Ashley Pater
    • The Vancouver based R&B singer/songwriter has touched the hearts of many listeners through her award-winning songwriting abilities combined with her soulful sultry voice
  • Queer As Funk
    • This Vancouver troupe is renowned for its tight rhythm section, hot horns, and soulful vocals in a dynamic, high-energy dance band

Food trucks

  • Shamelss Buns
  • BeaverTails

The Rocky Point Ice Cream concession will also be open for interested patrons, who are also encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to sit on.
