Carrier Sekani Tribal Council (CSTC) is hosting a live-streamed panel on working toward an end to gender-based discrimination.
This week, the panel will be moderated by CSTC Tribal Chief Mina Holmes and feature three panellists from northern B.C. and northwestern Canada, including:
- Kwanlin Dün First Nation Chief Doris Bill
- Yukon Regional Chief Kluane Adamek
- Lateral violence workshop facilitator Annita McPhee
- Former three-term Tahltan Nation president
The panel is set to focus on the Assembly of First Nation’s (AFN) Resolution 13.
It calls for leadership in ending sexual orientation and gender-based discrimination and will serve as a jumping-off point for a discussion of how the community can all become better role models in ending discrimination.
The free virtual event takes place on Friday (March 12) from 9 to 11 a.m. and will be available for streaming through Facebook LIVE.
