On February 24, 2010 at 10:49 p.m. Whistler RCMP were contacted by members of the Integrated Security Unit and advised of a suspected domestic assault in the 2300 block of Nordic Drive in Whistler. A male Olympic athlete in his 30's from the United States was alleged to have assaulted his common law partner. The male was arrested and later released with conditions on a cash surety to appear in court in North Vancouver on April 21, 2010. Police are recommending charges of assault and uttering threats.
