The 20-year-old from Prince George was named to Canada's snowboard cross team on Wednesday, bringing to four the number of local athletes selected for the Olympics next month in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Megan Tandy, 29, and Sarah Beaudry, 23, will compete in biathlon. Tiana Gairns, 19, was selected as an alternate in ski cross and will only go to Korea in the event of an injury or sickness which leaves one of the other four female team members unble to compete.

O'Dine has overcome a series of injuries, including two concussions, to produce results.

On Sunday, she and Zoe Bergermann of Erin, Ont., combined to finish third in the women's team event, in Ezurum, Turkey, following up on their silver-medal finish as a team in Montafon, Austria, Dec. 17.

On Saturday, O'Dine finished sixth in the individual event. She now ranks eighth in the individual point standings on the World Cup circuit.

There are two more stops on the World Cup snwboard cross tour before the Olympics - next week in Bansko, Bulgaria and the following week in Feldberg, Germany.
