A problem property in the VLA has been the site of an arrest for the third time in three weeks.
Prince George RCMP are recommending one charge each of trafficking and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose against a 31-year-old man arrested Friday outside 2053 Oak St.
The man was apprehended after two RCMP members conducting surveillance of the home saw him leave in a vehicle suspected to be used in trafficking of illegal drugs, Cst. Craig Douglass said Wednesday.
Along with cash, drug trafficking paraphernalia and what police believe to be a quantity of methamphetamine, RCMP also found a metal baton similar to those carried by police.
The man's name was not released pending charge approval by Crown counsel.
On Aug. 28, police surveillance of the same home led to the arrest of Justin Edward Pawluck, 29, and the seizure of 700 doses of crack cocaine and cash.
Pawluck had tried to flee on a bicycle but was arrested shortly afterward. He has since been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and willfully resisting a police officer and remains in custody.
Pawluck has an extensive list of convictions for thefts, break and enters and drug-related offences and is well know to police and the courts. In November 2012, he was sentenced to 372 days in jail for convictions on charges similar to the ones he is now facing from a May 2011 incident.
Also, Pamela Jane Starnes, 41, faces three counterfeit-related charges from an Aug. 8 RCMP raid on the same home, where police seized counterfeit U.S. currency and counterfeit money-producing equipment.
Starnes, who is out on $1,500 bail, has a record of previous counterfeit convictions and in September 2012 was sentenced to 134 days in jail for impersonation with intent to gain advantage.
Four other people were also arrested at the time but so far Starnes is the only one facing charges. Police also seized a modified .22 calibre rifle, two pistol-style pellet guns and a quantity of cocaine and trafficking paraphernalia. A dog that attacked an RCMP member during the action was destroyed.
