The Quesnel RCMP is investigating two incidents of fraud where individuals were deceived when attempting to sell gold through an intermediary. Police advise the public to ensure they are working with a legitimate business person who has a legitimate business license in any such transactions.
Sellers need to have a contract documenting the goods, photographs of the items, the refinery involved and references from the buyer.
