Drugs, guns and arrests all turned up in a raid on a VLA home this week.

Police with a search warrant burst in on a residence in the 2200 block of Norwood Street just before 8 p.m. Thursday. It was a joint effort by the Prince George RCMP's Downtown Enforcement Unit, the Drug Section, the dog service, and supported by general duty members.

One of the four people located in the home tried to flee and was injured in the attempt but was arrested at the scene. The other three were taken into custody without incident. The injured man was taken by ambulance to university hospital suffering from a minor cut.

The suspects included a 41-year-old woman and three men ranging in age from 34 to 40. They are believed to all be Prince George residents.

"A significant amount of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, morphine and pills believed to be MDMA (known as Ecstacy), were seized along with various drug trafficking paraphernalia including scales and packaging material," said RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "In addition, a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun with a pistol grip was located in a hidden compartment in the residence. Also located was a laptop computer stolen earlier in the day at a break-and-enter on the 1600 block of Edmonton Street."

Numerous charges are pending and all four were still in custody as of press time.
