Prince George lawyer Gaurav Parmar is among four new members of the Northern Health board of directors.

Parmar, who was named one of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce's top 40 under 40 this year, joins Louise Burgart of Fort St. James as well as Edward Stanford and Rosemary Landry both of Fort St. John as new board members.

"Northern Health places an emphasis on ensuring our representation reflects the entire north," board chairman Charles Jago said in a news release. "These new members are exceptional people who reside in communities across the north and will represent northerners very well."

The incoming board members were introduced at a meeting in Kitimat on Monday. They replace outgoing board members Deb Shannon of Prince George, Gordon Milne of Vanderhoof, Barb Caldwell of Pouce Coupe and Kate O'Neill of Fort St. John.

"We will certainly miss the insight and contributions of the individuals that are no longer on the board, and I would like to thank them for their years of dedicated service to Northern Health," Jago said.
