Two Prince George organizations are finalists for B.C. Tourism Industry Awards.

Northern FanCon, an annual pop culture convention held at CN Centre every spring, is a finalist for the Destination Think! – Remarkable Experience Award. The award recognizes an organization which has developed and promoted a new or improved tourism product or experience which “reflects the essence of B.C. and contributes to a remarkable visitor experience.”

Caledonia Nordic Ski Club is up for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture – Accessible Tourism Award, which honours organizations which offer accessible tourism opportunities for people with disabilities.

The winners will be announced on March 5 in Victoria during the Tourism Industry Association of B.C.’s annual conference.

Other finalists in the Remarkable Experience Award category are Retallack – a backcountry skiing and mountain biking lodge based in a ghost town in the Selkirk Mountains – and The Bear, The Fish, The Root & The Berry, an Indigenous cuisine restaurant located at Spirit Ridge Lake Resort Winery and Sacred Lands in Osoyoos.

The other nominees for the Accessible Tourism Award are Big White Ski Resort and Ogopogo Tours.
