The District of Hudson’s Hope announced the resignation of councillor Kelly Miller on Thursday.
Hudson’s Hope Mayor Travous Quibell says the municipality has already begun the process to fill the vacant position, with a byelection expected in 2024.
“In the interim, the remaining members provide the required quorum to continue to conduct council business as necessary," said Quibell in a release.
Quibell just entered office as mayor this past July, after serving on district council as a councillor for 20 years, replacing former mayor Dave Heiberg, who resigned in May.
