The average price of a single family home sold in northern B.C. is expected to reach $246,000 by the end of this year, according to a forecast released this week by the B.C. Real Estate Association.
If that holds true, it will represent a $12,456 increase over the prevailing price for 2012.
The BCREA further expects it will rise by another $9,000 in 2014.
Unit sales, meanwhile, are forecast to reach 4,175, a 133-sale hike over 2012, and then increase by a further 205 in 2014.
