Northern B.C. court docket: November 27 to December 1

Fines and sentences for Prince George and more.

Prince George Law Courts 

Robert James Westfall (born 1989) was sentenced in B.C. Supreme Court to five years in jail, issued a 10-year sexual offenders restraining order and a 10-year firearms prohibition for sexual touching, committed in Engen.

Fort St. John Law Courts 

Emmanuel Aguer Bior (born 1995) was handed 12 months of probation with a conditional discharge and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for mischief $5,000 or under. 

Jeramy-John Miller (born 1974) was handed six months of probation with a conditional discharge and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for theft $5,000 or under. 

Keith Dale Turrell (born 1985) was handed a 12-month probation order with a suspended sentence for breaching probation. 

Braytin Daniel Lecuyer (born 1994) was sentenced to 60 days in jail and handed a ten-year mandatory firearms ban for possession of a firearm contrary to court order. Lecuyer was further sentenced to 30 days in jail for theft $5,000 or under, 21 days in jail for breaching a release order, and seven days in jail for breach of undertaking. 

Lecuyer was also fined $1,000 and handed a one-year criminal driving ban for impaired driving. Lecuyer was further fined $1,500 and handed a second one-year criminal driving ban for a second impaired driving ban and driving while disqualified. 

Neil Alexander MacLean (born 1990) was given a 15-month probation order with a nine-month conditional sentence, handed a ten-year discretionary firearms ban, and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for assault causing bodily harm. 

Eric Haddow (born 1983) was fined $2,000, handed a one-year criminal driving ban, and assessed a $600 victim surcharge for impaired driving. 

Dawson Creek Law Courts

Derek Edward Loomis (born 1985) was handed a nine-month probation order with a conditional discharge and assessed a $100 victim surcharge for assault. 

Rory Daniel Friesen (born 1980) was fined $250 and ordered to pay $9,500 in restitution for hunting without consideration and hunting wildlife out of season. 

Fraser Lee Pearson (born 1985) was sentenced to 15 days in jail and 18 months of probation for breaching a release order. Pearson was sentenced to another 12 days in jail and handed another 18 months of probation for uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. 

Cody Strong (born 2004) was handed 12 months of probation with a conditional discharge for assault.
