The Prince George Citizen is proud to introduce the five nominees for the 2013 Citizen of the Year.
These three men and two women represent the best of Prince George, in their devotion to the city and their passion for making a difference and improving the lives of so many people with their selfless work.
The Citizen of the Year dinner, which includes a celebration of the accomplishments of the nominees and the announcement of the recipient of the 2013 Citizen of the Year, will be held at the Coast Inn of the North on Friday, Oct. 18. Tickets are $60 each and can be purchased at the reception desk at the Coast Inn. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The dinner is a major fundraiser for the Prince George Community Foundation, which uses its permanent endowment funds to support organizations involved in health, sports, recreation, education, arts, culture, social services, and the environment.
As a member of the nominations committee for the Citizen of the Year, along with Murry Krause and Wendy Young, we're already thinking about the 2014 Citizen of the Year. If you know someone who deserves to be a nominee, please drop me an e-mail at [email protected].
